“But he who dares not grasp the thorn
Should never crave the rose.”
― Anne Brontë
Did you know there are over 100 species of roses?
We usually call the spikes on roses "thorns" but in fact, they are technically called "prickles".
Last week, we planted 300 bare root roses.
Our roses are shipped all the way from sunny California.
We trim the stems, roots, and bury them into soil.
In a couple weeks, the tiny buds will turn into leaves and new growth will appear.
This year, we have a couple new roses to share with you.
Get that gardening wish list out, you are going to want to write these down!
