The first day of spring is only 17 days away!
Soon we will be tilling up the earth, and getting ready for spring gardening.
Like us, you're probably planning out your flower beds and gardens.
In upcoming blog posts, we'll be highlighting some new flowers and a few of our must-have favorites.
Lenten Rose/ Christmas Rose
Hellebores are a spring blooming perennial. So named, because of their early bloom period, sometimes over the Lenten season, the plant itself is frost resistant and many are evergreen. Hellebores do well planted in part sun to shade, and grow 12-15" tall. They require well-drained, but moist soil. It may take a few years for the clump to become well established.
Hellebores attract butterflies, and is a great cut flower for indoor arrangements. Once, we tried pressing the blooms and they kept their color for a long time.
We sell Hellebores in red, white, lavender, and rose.
Add this one to your Perennial list!
